Saint George's Day is the feast day of Saint George and the National Day for England. St. George's Day is not an official national holiday in England or the UK. It is celebrated by various Christian churches and by the several nations, kingdoms, countries, and cities.of which Saint George is the patron saint. Saint George's Day is celebrated on 23 April in England, but also in Italy and Spain.
Saint George was a palestian soldier that was tortured and martyred to not have refused his cristianity. But there are others legends about him like Saint George and the dragon. The story tells about a dragon that every day ate a girl of the city. But a day the king decided to sacrificate her daughter. But Saint George killed the dragon and in the point where fell blood grew roses.
